Anyone who has suffered a loss in their lives will know that anniversaries can be painful times. The loved ones Birthday comes round and it may be painful to think of them, or on your Birthday it can bring up all sorts of emotions, maybe including loneliness and of course Christmas can be hard. You may have these anniversary dates in your head and are dreading them but there are other past events that you may not be conscious of that may still stir up feelings such as the day they were diagnosed (if they had an illness), or if it was a sudden death, then maybe the way you were told, or who told you may be triggers when the date of them comes around.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be able to think of our loved ones with fond memories and a smile, without the pain. It is possible, John James, from his own loss, created a structured programme that does just that. He wrote the book The Grief Recovery Handbook Book available from Grief Recovery Method UK and created the course The Grief Recovery Method. The Recovery Method has been run for 30 years and has helped thousands of people.
As mentioned on my About page after three losses in my immediate family I was looking for help and came across the Grief Recovery Method, it transformed my grief from painful memories to happy ones, although there is sadness at some thoughts, there is no longer pain, I feel so much lighter, like I have put down a heavy load. I certified in the method and now run one-to-one sessions and also group courses in Hemel Hempstead, United Kingdom. The sessions and courses give you tools to move forward and are delivered in a gentle way in a safe environment. For any questions or to discuss the courses contact me via my contact page Contact Page
